any way to not see how many "likes" you have on FB?

I enjoy facebook as a way to stay connected with friends, near and far. I don't like the endless updates for likes. I've figured out how to stop push alerts for likes but would like (ha) it if I could simply not see how many people have liked my posts (and ideally, others). I would like to see comments. Is there any way to do this? Open to using any browser or app.

I think you may be able to do this with the Facebook Purity extension; at the very least, you can turn off notifications for when a friend has "liked" a page or some such. I also know you can turn off the different KINDS of reactions (i.e., "liked" vs. "loved").

FBPurity is the only thing that keeps my feed from being a dumpster fire. If you like it, the developer can always use a few bucks. Totally changes your experience.

Another vote here for Facebook Purity (AKA "Fluff Busting Purity" or "F.B. Purity").
Makes Facebook bearable.

Response by poster: Installed FBPurity, can't find a way to hide how many likes posts get. If anyone has any suggestions let me know!

Facebook Demetricator might do. I haven’t used it in years but it has been semi-recently updated so that is promising.

Go into the FB Purity settings page & look for "Reactions Bar" (in the "More Options" column. If you check that box, it should hide all the "likes" (and other reactions) under posts.

Unfortunately it still leaves the total number of reactions, just doesn't break it out into types.

Best answer: If you are OK seeing the number of comments/shares, try adding this to the custom CSS box of FB purity. (It hides all the "likes" numbers & reactions for me, but ymmv. Sometimes FB sends different code to different people.)
