Batch Sorting Question, Specific to DNA-based Genealogy

I am trying to sort my entire list of DNA matches on GEDmatch in a way that will let me carve out only a set of people related to an ancestor I cannot otherwise identify.

I want to identify the surnames and familes for my GGGG Grandmother and for my GGGGG Grantmother. I have known matches to surnames going back two generations. I want to take my list of paternal matches, remove all the matches shared only with (A) and (B), then sort the remaining matches into triangulated groups.

My Surname -- GGGGG Grandmother No surname, no currently known matches
My Surname -- GGGG Grandmother Possible surname, but no currently known matches
My Surname -- GG Grandmother Known surname, but no currently known matches
My Surname -- G Grandmother Known match to her surname (A)
My Surname -- Grandmother Known match to her surname (B)

I know how to "remove duplicates" in excel, but I'm blanking on how I "remove all except shared" between two lists?

I'm not completely clear on exactly what your parameters are, but it sounds like you might be trying to do set operations. (I'm guessing either an intersection or a difference.) It seems that set operations in Excel are challenging.

Much easier in Python, though I'm guessing that would mean learning a new language for you.

IDK but people in the Evernote Genealogist FB group are raving about a program called DNA Painter.
