Donating prescription medication

Is there an organization I can donate sodium diclofenac to? I'll take them to an unwanted drug dropoff if I have to, but I'd really rather someone got to use them.

I went traveling this winter and bought what I thought were just B vitamins. But I figured I should look up the word I didn't know, and it turns out I had bought a migraine medication that's prescription in the US.

I've read https://ask.metafilter.com/197230/Donating-prescription-meds and it led me to believe that there might be an organization out there that will take them, if I know where to look. Which I don't.

In the end, I sent my Topamax stock to Other options Inc in OKC. They send the meds to the poor countries.

Call them up before you send your meds. This was in 2013. No idea if they still do it or anything has changed.

You may also want to contact NeedyMeds to see if they have any ideas.

Edit: Pls update if they don't do it anymore and/or you find some other charitable organization. Thanks in advance.

Response by poster: From their website, Other Options looks like they're focused on HIV/AIDS, but NeedyMeds had a link in their FAQ which led me to World Medical Relief, who accepts prescription medication and redistributes them both in Michigan as well as to organizations in other countries who request them. Thanks, zaxour!
