Resources to help me sing my songs better.

Are there online resources that teach techniques for approaching the phrasing and interpretation of songs in the most effective way (not so much the technical aspects of singing, but the interpretation of songs)?

I'm doing some recording at the moment, and have reached the traditional sticking point - the vocals. It's clear that I need to do a lot of remedial work, and there are a lot of resources online to help me with warmups and voice strengthening exercises and so forth.

Another thing I've been thinking about is how one would approach interpretation - it's not just a question of singing the words in tune. Presumably people (especially Jazz and cabaret singers) on approaching a song look at issues of phrasing and interpretation the way an actor might take the text apart to find the most effective way to perform it. Would anyone have any suggestions of resources online that cover this sort of thing, and what would be the technical words for it? Is it a request that makes any kind of sense?

A search, of say Youtube for "Singing Masterclass", might turn up some useful material for you. You should be able to find examples for whatever genre. For example here is Kurt Elling working with a set of aspiring jazz vocalists.
