I know what the title says, but...

I'm trying to find a series of reading textbooks that a teacher friend gave us for me to read in the 1980s. The title of one of them was "Never Give Up!", which got me this image of the cover and a lot of hits for irrelevant inspirational sports books. I don't know the publisher or even the date except that they were probably from the 70's or 80's. Does anyone have more information on these books?

Best answer: I think it's part of the Holt Basic Reading System, published with several different covers from 1973 to 1986 (another example on Archive.org, Google Image Search, one designer's appreciation).

Open Library has an ebook.
