What are some songs that capture these loving yearnings?

I find making mixtapes incredibly cathartic in intense emotional situations.
Sometimes a mixtape is the only thing that will do when I really want to express my feelings when regular old words don't feel like enough.

I've been having a pretty extreme romance rekindling situation which is incredibly exciting but somewhat fraught, with some perilous minefields that we are trying our very best to navigate. Basically we were/are the loves of each other's lives for many years some years ago. We both made some crucial errors, broke up and spent years apart missing one another in the midst of our other relationships.
We've come back together and confessed a lot to each other in recent weeks. We have been spending a lot of time together, talking a lot about how much we love each other, and we're being more open than we ever have been. I really truly believe we have another shot and I want it. It would be a dream come true for both of us I think, but his feelings are especially raw at the moment, as he is dealing with all of this as well as some extreme grief & anxiety in other parts of his life.
We both feel badly about our missteps before, but my missteps were objectively more egregious. I've been forgiven, which I am enormously grateful for, and I forgive him too. We have done a lot of talking crying and loving, but we are in the midst of a he-needs-time-to-process-things break. This short break to process everything is at my partner's behest, but I think it's probably the right choice given where we are. I am extremely hopeful that we will come back together forever.
Since we aren't speaking this week and I want to give the situation some space all I can thing to do is make mixtapes to help channel all these feelings. (we are both speaking to therapists as well)
Can you think of songs that capture some elements of the love and angst I describe above, hopefully with happy endings and love will find a way vibes? All genres/eras welcome.
I have a good long playlist going already but would love suggestions from the crowd. Music is very helpful in this way I think and I know there are songs I am not thinking of.
