Hard water and faucets

We have two relatively new chrome faucets. Both 16 months old. Faucet 1 (which was a clearance super fancy faucet) cleans up beautifully, no spots. Faucet 2 was cheap $39 and spots from hard water and it is impossible at this point to shine. Is it just that I bought a cheap faucet? Would a $$$ replacement fix it?
Also, where do you use the faucets? My kitchen sink faucet gets dirty much more slowly than my bathroom faucet, where it's much more likely to get toothpaste spit and shaving cream splashes on it.

Try spraying on vinegar and wiping off after a couple minutes- it dissolves hard water spots and soap scum.

You have to dry your chrome after you clean it. Clean it with whatever, then as the last step in your cleaning of the room come back with a white hand towel and dry/polish the faucets.

Try waxing it after it's clean, should up the resistance to spotting.
