Is this a normal sanitary cut for a cat?

Warning: cat vaginal opening pic if that's a problem. I took our cat in for a sanitary cut yesterday (clearing the long hair from around the anus to prevent excrement from catching in it). I've only done this once before and this time it looks like a real hack job to me. What do you think?

I'm considering taking this picture back to the vet today. It was done without me present and the cat was back in her carrier when she was returned to me, so I didn't see it until we got home. I was mortified. Thank you.

Best answer: I've had cats who necessitated this sort of thing, and the cuts that I gave them at home in my bathroom looked better than that--that looks terrible, and like it had to be a miserable experience for the cat. I'm also under the impression that it's unwise to go all the way down to skin like that. I would absolutely complain about it.

Best answer: yeah it looks like it's all the way down to the skin, there should be a suuuuuper short/fine layer of fur. and it's lopsided/asymmetrical, which, it's a cat, but also you paid for it and it just looks bad. my experience on a fluffy girl cat was that they just shaved around the anus, not all the way down.

Best answer: I've had two cats that needed regular sanitary trims and that looks really poorly done to me. It's uneven, it's lopsided, and it looks like they've trimmed too closely (like mishafletch said, they shouldn't go down to skin).
