Vitamin gummy bears for adults?

Vitamin gummy bears are certainly tasty, but are they strong enough for an adult at double the recommended dosage? How can we measure the efficacy of vitamin supplements in general?

i'm sure it depends on whether you're trying to get absolutely all of your nutrients from pills or whether you're supplementing the vitamins with, say, that oft-neglected well-balanced diet.

Check this PDF of the Recommended Daily Allowances (RDA) for vitamins broken down by age groups. It should be a simple matter of reading the side of the bottle and multiplying times a factor determined from the table.
