Help me remember/attribute a quote about fascism and chess

Sometime in the last couple years, somewhere on the internet (likely on MetaFilter but maybe not) I read something which I'll paraphrase here: "Fascists use the same strategy for 3-dimensional chess as any other game; if their opponent reaches a hand toward the board, they smash it with a truncheon." I don't know if the context I saw it in was as a quote from some other medium or an original observation, and find myself wanting to quote it but not knowing how to attribute it. Does it ring any bells?
