Please help me finally find a finial for this little light of mine

I have a stained glass mini-lamp that needs a finial to secure the shade and hide the threaded connector piece. Where can I buy a small, bronze-tone finial?

Places I have tried: AJ Stained Glass Supply, Home Depot, Canadian Tire, Rona, Home Hardware, Amazon. I bought this finial from Amazon, but the hole in the bottom of it was too small to fit over the threaded connector (and the 1.25" height was on the big side for this lamp), so I returned it.

Where else can I look? The finial needs to look right with the lamp, should probably be bronze, and should be 1" in height or little smaller. Any store you recommend must be in Toronto or ship there.

What's the width of the hole you need (in millimeters)? Measure across the top of the screw fitting.

Grand Brass claims to ship to Canada and they have a zillion different types of caps and finials. If they don't have something in the right finish you could probably antique an unfinished bronze piece pretty inexpensively.

Response by poster: I believe I'll need a finial with a 1 cm hole.

This looks pretty small and has a 10mm (1cm) hole. They'll quote you to ship to Canada, and can probably tell you how tall it is.

This looks more antique-y, but no info about shipping abroad or dimensions other than a 1cm hole.

This one has the 10mm hole and is 24mm high (so 1"). I'd be happy to ship it to you in Canada, as they only ship to the UK.

The hollow threaded rods on electrical appliances (lamps, ceiling lights, fans, etc) are very often 1/8”-27 nominal NPSM straight pipe thread (also called “IPS” rod). Despite its name, it’s about .38 inches outside diameter, which is about 1 cm. If one of these nuts screws on OK, that will confirm the size (and will also hold the shade on while you keep looking).

Eclectic Revival? Sam's? Lampcage?

Response by poster: I just ordered one of these finials. It isn't the right finish, but according to their specs and size conversion chart, it should be the right size, the style of it should look okay with the lamp, and I should be able to antique the finish. Fingers crossed that it will all work out!

Response by poster: Got the finial, painted it brown, put it on the lamp... and it looks good. Thanks everyone!
