Help identify this song from my youth

I'm a child of the 80s. I remember being in grade school chorus, and for a recital we were singing a song -- one of those that were "inspirational" without actully being religious.
The only line I remember clearly is "Thank you for reminding me / That one little star can change the night". Google results only turn up "One Little Star" from a Sesame Street movie, which is a touching scene, but not what I'm thinking of.

Something similar, but not the same, would be "You Light Up My Life."
