How do I set up outlook to receive yahoo mail?

I've never used outlook before and when I click on it I am lost.
I click on outlook. It asks me for my email address. Not sure if it wants the email that I want to import from or the one associated with microsoft 365. I just guess which one and then the next window asks me if I want IMAP, POP, 365... and a variety of others. I have no idea which one to pick.
What I want to do: I want to backup some important older emails I have on a few yahoo accounts. I was told I should import them to outlook and then I could save them to pdf in bulk once they are in outlook. I want to make sure that NONE of the emails are deleted from the original yahoo accounts when they are imported. And I've no idea how to do any of this. Looking up the info on google is confusing to me with all the different versions etc.

If you have a reason to use POP, be sure that the 'leave on server' box is ticked before you fetch the mail: on the Advanced tab under Delivery, select the Leave a copy of messages on the server check box.
