Looking for a Sydney Guidebook

It's my mum's birthday son and I'd like to get her a Sydney Guidebook so she can get ideas for what she wants to do when she visits me. I've recently moved here and while there are no current trips booked I'm sure there'll be at least one this year.

I know there is Lonely Planet but is there anything else? Mum has seen the main touristy sites so I'm looking for something that goes past that.

Insight Guides are well designed, photographic guides that are less about hotel/restaurant recommendations and more about culture and history.

Can’t beat any of the Lonely Planet guides. You can get them for country, state and city locations.

I'm not sure what she likes or what kind of traveler she is, but as much as it pains me to say it (being very anti-Tyler Brule), the Monocle Sydney guide is great.
