Point Reyes, West Marin, CA - where to stay for last-minute getaway

A last minute opportunity has arisen for Mrs. AFAC and I to make a short getaway, next week, sans the offspring. Looking for ideas on where to stay, in West Marin, CA
We're very big fans of West Marin ; back in the days before parenthood we spent a lot of time in Pt. Reyes, Tomales, Marshall, and Inverness. But at the moment when I think back to the places we've stayed, I am coming up with either (a) "meh" or (b) "it was so long ago, is that place still even there?" and I think that's telling me that we should try someplace new. So, I'm wondering if anyone on the Green can recommend some good spots ; hotel or BnB (preferably not via AirBnB) or we'd even consider Glamping. We don't need much ; doesn't need to be fancy ; rustic and simple preferred.
Thanks!

Congratulations for picking one of the best places in SF, CA, USA, Earth... for a trip! Point Reyes has a good hostel that a lot of non-students stay like.
Key question is whether you have a car. If you do have a car, you have infinite options because even from San Francisco, it only takes 1-1.5 hrs to get to Point Reyes. If you stay in Marin, you'll have even less of a problem. Bodega Bay has a ton of Airbnbs, so that's a good option. Pelican Inn is one of my favorite places, although it's a 40min drive from Muir Beach to Point Reyes. (Muir Beach is worth going to by itself though!) Another nearby place is Bolinas, which has some cute inns as well. Also a true West Marin destination unto itself.

My wife and I love the Apple Garden Cottage in Tomales.
Also check out dinner at Nick's Cove.

Steep Ravine is ridiculously beautiful. There are both campsites and cabins - the latter might suit you.
