Oh You Beautiful Doll

I'm looking for miniature art supplies, but all I'm finding are art supplies with which to make miniatures. I want tiny replica props of art supplies.

While looking for something else on eBay, I came across a 1/6 scale doll head that bore a very strong resemblance to a friend of mine. So of course I thought to buy it, a body, and find suitable clothes and accessories to make a my-friend action figure. As one does.

The clothes are tough enough, since most female 1/6 clothing seems to be superhero, military, or sexy (or sexy superhero or sexy military), but I think I can find enough normal clothes for a decent outfit. What I'm completely failing at is finding anything I can use to suggest her interest in art. The perfect item would be a 1/6 scale screen-printing kit, but I'd settle for a drafting table (I found one that someone had custom made for themself a few years ago; there was an Etsy shop with nothing in it), an easel/canvas/paint tubes, or even a flat bench like you might find in an art museum, which I think I could fake using a large printout of a photograph.

If I was crafty, I'd make them myself, but I'm only crafty enough to be able to, maybe, pop the head onto the body. I might be able to mock up a cover for a 1/6 scale art book for her to carry. I'm not trying to make a perfectly detailed diorama, just something I take a few half-decent pictures of. Any suggestions for any items I haven't thought of would be welcome too.

I know that 1/6 scale figures are a huge hobby, and it wouldn't surprise me to find that everything I'm looking for is really common as heck; but I can't find it.

I order quite a bit from this site, so I know they are reliable and fast:

Sorry if the scale isn't right, that's not my area.

Best answer: If you can wait for shipping from China, this is the right scale and the same seller has quite a few props that might do - cameras, photo frames, and honestly I'd get the 1/6 scale rubber chicken just for laughs.

And some drafting accessories from another seller. I've also seen sewing and knitting kits...

Best answer: Just to be clear, most dollshouse miniatures are in 1/12 scale; 1/6 is commonly referred to as 'playscale' or else named explicitly.
Very occasionally 1/12 things are such that they could pass as simply a small 1/6 scale item, especially if the scaling has been done somewhat sloppily (too big is more common than too small, for some reason.) But this is something you'd only be able to judge in person, I wouldn't order 1/12 anything and expect it to work. The items Ballad of Peckham Rye found look great, however!

Response by poster: I don't know why I didn't think of Barbie accessories, it seems so obvious! But all the items you all found look terrific, and yes, the dollhouse/1:12 scale items are half the size I need.

Thank you all - even if I don't get these exact items, I have a much clearer idea now of what I'm looking for and where to look.
