Recommendations for cat-sitter in West Philadelphia

I'm going to be traveling in early March, and am looking for recommendations for someone to feed and play with my cat at my apartment in West Philly.

Unfortunately, none of my friends are able to do it, and since, uh, it was usually me watching their cat, they can't really recommend anyone.

Owain doesn't require much more than wet food twice a day, water, and someone to play with him and give tummy rubs. Mostly I'm looking for someone trustworthy, since they'll be coming into my apartment. I'm in West Philadelphia, reasonably close to the Penn campus. I'd love to have any recommendations, and/or advice for hiring a cat-sitter. I don't have, like, an unlimited budget but I'm willing to pay to not worry.

Locals: yes I'm on the West Willy facebook page but inexplicably trust AskMe more, go figure.

Best answer: I travel a ton and have had excellent result with Trusted House Sitters. You trade a free place to stay for dedicated pet and home care. My referral link will get you a discount, but even at full price the service is very worth it. I’ve had dozens of people stay and have never had any serious problem.

Best answer: Puppy Uprising pet sitters is run by old housemate, who’s a pretty great human being. (Note, if you contact her use the name on the “humans” section of the web page, the name on the front page is inaccurate). I’ve never used their services, but the reviews are consistently good and I trust Jenna entirely.

Best answer: Yep, Puppy Uprising Persitters are great. They were my go-to when I lived in west philly for the occasional time a friend or family member couldn’t Cat-sit.

Best answer: Professional Cat Sitting Plus is another Philly-based service, more for elderly cats, but I thought I'd drop this in here for future reference, just in case.

Response by poster: Update! I wound up going with Fresh Prints of West Philly, and although my trip isn't for awhile, I just wanted to record that here, and say thanks to everyone!

Puppy Uprising seems to still be in business, unfortunately I'd already booked Fresh Prints when Jenna got back to me, but they're still an option as of right now, future people reading this.

And added thanks to carter and Cogito for awesome answers for others :) (I am way too territorial to be comfortable with a house-sitter, but that is my problem and others should consider this, it sounds awesome!)
