Will I see Olympic skiers at competition the next few weekends?

I live in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. We have an annual ski race (on the World Cup circuit) the next couple of weekends. I'm wondering if we have a shot of seeing Olympic skiers, or if they will be sitting out until the Games begin.

Last year, my wife and I went to the women's downhill competition of the Kandahar Ski Race. It was awesome—Lindsey Vonn won her first race back from an injury, and it was all very dramatic.

We have the men's races this weekend, then the women's the weekend after. This page makes me think that the men's races will count towards their World Cup standing, but that the women's will not.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

I'm super jealous, I wish I could see the world cup live this weekend! Alas, I'm stuck watching on CBC (Canadian TV).

I know some of the Canadian men Olympic hopefuls will be racing this weekend (Manny Osborne-Paradis, Eric Guay etc). Here is the start list for the men's downhill training run today, it will give you an idea of the men who are doing the downhill at least. If they haven't already qualified for the Olympics I would bet you will some potential Olympians there.

As far as I know they haven't officially announced the Canadian Olympic alpine team, I've been waiting patiently but havent seen anything yet.
