Can someone tell me where the quotation mark key is on new iPads?

I'm trying to help someone ruse an iPad, and I'm remote, and and they can't find the quotation mark key (to improve Google search results). Which of the 3 keyboard layouts is it on? (Brand new iPad, middle size, default keyboard)

Bonus points for a screenshot.

Heaven referral for anyone who can explain why these things don't use a single keyboard layout for the common typing keys, or even all the keys. It's not like it doesn't disappear off the screen after using it.

(I know they can get a new layout, but imagine trying to help someone do that remotely when they can't find the quotation mark key.)

Assuming they're running iOS 11 the single quote is over the K key and double quote is over L. They can hit the '123' key in the lower right and then hit those keys or just swipe down on them.

On my iPad, the standard US keyboard layout shows the quotation marks from the main keyboard in gray type:

You can either just swipe down, as mattholomew says, or hit the 123 key to get the first symbol layout:

The reason that quotation marks aren't on the main keyboard is a matter of space: If you try to put the symbol keys on the keyboard, you face a couple of unpleasant alternatives: (1) cover up even more of the screen with the keyboard or (2) make the keys too small for many people to use effectively.
