Hurricane Sandy Cost Breakdown

Are there any figures on where the funds were spent for Sandy's repairs? i.e. cost of infrastructure repair. (tunnels, bridges, roads) Residential. Public (schools, hospitals)?

This is going to be tricky because you have multiple levels of government (local, state, and federal). This report "The Hurricane Sandy Rebuilding Strategy" is from December 4, 2014 and covers the federal government's appropriations and policies. I believe they have several reports from that task force that go into more detail.

One possible avenue to figure this out is by looking at insurance payouts. This 2017 report is from FEMA on just the flood insurance payouts. (P.S. There is a lot of problems with how insurance companies have been profiting off of claim payouts (NPR story)
