Looking for recs for works about life after depression

I was depressed for a long time, but I'm gradually feeling better. Yay! But I feel like I've missed a lot of experiences typical of someone of my age (this spanned my teens and early 20s), and there are lingering side effects which may be lifelong (kind of like coming out of a long physical illness, it seems). So I'm looking for works, fictional, non-fictional, books, movies, etc. about life after depression, especially if they touch on these issues. Thanks!

Little Dorrit's male lead is a man who has convinced himself, after 20 years of life doing meaningless work in the family business (and under the thumb of his cruel and neglectful family), that he is too old to ever be anything but a gray, aging ghost of a man. (And who is, over the course of the novel, proven wrong.)
