Help me brainstorm a new job title!

I'm in a creative organization that has both writing managers and editorial managers, and in my role, I actually do both of those things. I'm the only one, and I'd like a different title to reflect my unique responsibilities. Help me brainstorm one!

(And yes, I realize the irony in the fact that someone who leads writers and editors for a living is having a really hard time coming up with the right word for something.)

While I don't like to inflict rules on brainstorms, something more conservative vs clever is probably more likely to gain traction.

"Senior Manager" is the generic label that would work.

Look to your next job - assuming you do this for 3-5 years, what title will you want to show off on your resume? Or, what skills will you want that title to represent?

Senior editor? In my line of work, it's assumed that editors manage writers...what does "writing manager" mean?

If you're managing managers, might that make you director-level? Editorial Director? Director of Content?

Communications Manager.

And seconding Editorial Director.

The traditional title for the writer/editor/special projects person is Editor at Large.

Bonus? Your colleagues will call you Editor at Lunch, and you’ll just smile and wink.
