Finding old picture book -- Children's Lives Around the World

I'm trying to find an ilustrated picture book I had sometime around 1990 that showed a day in the life of children and families around the world.

It featured a handful of families, each illustrated by a different artist. It would show what each family was doing at a certain point in time--due to time differences, some families would be sleeping, some would be up and about, etc. There was a small clock on each page showing the time. It featured a Australian (?) family that goes to the beach drawn in a looser style and a Japanese (?) family that celebrates some holiday drawn in a more realistic style. The Japanese family goes to sleep on futons on the floor and then kitten steals the leftover fish from dinner. I also think there was a Russian (?) child who does something and then dreams about a sled traveling through the snowy woods that night. They were very high quality illustrations and it was a hardback book.

Any leads? (No need to recommend any sites for finding half-remembered books. I familiar with them but thought I'd try here first.)
