Weed identification: southern Quebec

The culprit.

Start growing in early summer, sprouts invasively from between paving stones, gets to be about 3-4 feet high and then flowers. The flowers are small and stay small, about the size of the tip of your little finger. They don't open up more than shown in the photo. My back yard in Montreal is full of this stuff.

Best answer: Looks like a beggartick. Maybe Bidens frondosa, maybe some similar species.
