Looking for a Minneapolis curly hair stylist without the Deva nonsense.

I'm looking for a hair stylist in Minneapolis who is good with curly hair, but will do a wet cut. Any recommendations?

I have lost all patience with Deva-trained stylists and cutting dry hair "curl by curl" and what have you. Even the non-Deva stylists insist on a dry cut, which leaves my hair shapeless. When I'm trying to get an inverted bob, I want cleaner lines. On the other hand, I tried going to a unknown stylist last time and she had no experience with curly hair, so she did the wet cut but didn't know how to fine-tune afterwards. (There were thinning shears. It was bad.)

So can you recommend someone who will do a wet cut on curly hair in Minneapolis? St. Paul or eastern suburbs would be okay too as I work out that way.

I apologize, I'm not local, but I know the Ouidad method cuts curls wet and yelp says this stylist does their style. Maybe that'll provide a lead or useful search term, at least.

Oh - and there are a few salons in the metro area listed on their own salon locator as well.

Go see Lindsay at HiFi Hair & Records. She'll take care of you.

I've had good experiences with stylists at Uptown Curl (specifically Daisy and Carolyn, though Carolyn might have moved salons.) A curly headed friend said the Hive had some stylists that worked with curly hair and didn't do Deva. They didn't have a dedicated stylist and went to random ones. However, looking at their site, you can see which stylists specialize in curly hair.
