Can anyone help identify this ethnic engraved gourd cup/bottle.

I would be grateful for any help in identifying the age and origin of this ethnic engraved gourd cup/bottle. Ideas on species/geographical distribution of the original gourd and or identification of the etnographic design elements of the decoration would all help. It measures 4 3/4" (12cm) in height. Thanks in advance. Tom.
