In need of serious dog-naming help

We adopted a cutie 5-year old chihuahua/feist/beagle(?) mix last Sunday and can't figure out what her name is! She's been super, super sweet, meek, and quiet so far, but is perking up and coming out of her shell more every day. None of the names we've thought of so far seem quite right for her, so need to break out the big mefi guns.

As the story goes from the rescue, she was found in a junkyard in Tennessee with her four puppies, but we don't know anything else about her past.

If you were ever a fan of Sanford and Son, Fred's late wife is named Elizabeth. I might go with something like Eliza, Liza, Lizzy, etc.

Response by poster: Thank you all so, so much for the great names! We had a run off between a few of the finalists, but now we're sure...that her name is Nellie!

Nellie also thanks you for making it so that we don't just call her Doggy (or test out random combinations of sounds) anymore.
