Feed my chocolate addiction

So Trader Joe's has discontinued their chocolate covered cranberries, which are very close to my favorite food. I'm looking for the best replacement.

I'm not interested in their other chocolate covered options. Over the years, I've had various other brands of chocolate covered cranberries, though I can't remember any particular brands, and none have been as good.

Can you recommend a delicious brand of dark chocolate covered cranberries? Not especially worried about price (I mean, as long as they're not gold dusted or anything).

Best answer: Have you tried the Brookside ones? I haven't tried the cranberries (not really a cranberry fan, personally) but the other Brookside chocolate fruit things I have tried are delicious and addicting.

Also, keep watch come the winter holidays. I've seen a few regular products disappear at TJ's and become seasonal. You may luck out in November and have a chance to stock up.

Not quite cranberries, but I find chocolate covered cherries also meets that sweet-bitter-tart-chewy-richfruit combo that I love so much about cranberries. Maybe you will, too? My favorite chocolate covered cherries are from Chukar Cherries.

Best answer: For chocolate covered cranberries, I've had Wilbur's of Maine and Bog Beans. (Both were good, though Wilbur's chocolate covered blueberries are my favorite in general.)

This is more chocolate than cranberry, but it may strike your interest anyway.

Best answer: Do you live near a Sprouts? I've had good luck with their bulk dark chocolate covered stuff. They don't have that weird waxy texture that ruins so many chocolate coatings.

If you're open to something slightly different, I also really like the Chocolove bars. The Cherry & Almond, Raspberry, and Holiday (My fave, but Ithink you can only get this one in the winter.) are all very good.

Best answer: These are fantastic. Not sure when they'll be back in stock, but if you have a Cooperative or a Whole Foods nearby they may carry them.

Aldi sells these during the winter. Caveat: I have not tried them.

Response by poster: Ok, I've placed several orders and have a trip to Sprouts planned. My ever-patient husband has agreed to direct my blind taste tests. I'll report back!

Late to the party, and possibly too tangential, but I am addicted to Marich dark chocolate covered blueberries.
