Depending on the route you take, you might pass near North Adams, MA, which has the best contemporary art museum I have ever been to (MASS MoCA) -- I've been to lots of big city art museums, and this one is super experiential and different (and HUGE). Really cool if it works out with your driving route. According to the website, everything except one of the outdoor exhibits are wheelchair accessible. Also, if you are a Harry Potter fan, the next town over (Adams) is the site of Mount Greylock, which is where Rowling set her American wizarding school. I am not as sure about accessibility there, unfortunately.

You will drive right through Sturbridge if you go googles shortest route. Old Sturbridge Village is a favorite stop for me. They have a terrific accessibility page with detailed info. The place has original old buildings so there are some that aren't accessible there seem to be about 30 buildings that are. I could spend a day talking to the costumed interpreters in just a few of the buildings. The footpaths/roads themselves are a very stable hard packed fine gravel type thing.

It's a beautiful little spot in the woods and if you enjoy history, I think you will really like it.
