Persian Rug Appraisal and Sell

Rug Appraisal & Selling how does it work?
I have a gigantic Persian carpet handed off to me by my Grandmother. I believe it is wool and given close examination appears to be hand-knotted.
I'm in the Bay Area and don't even know how to begin with Appraisal and selling. Any direction would be appreciated. Not sure where to start.

Best answer: These guys are based in LA and specialise in Turkish rugs, but they they are very passionate and knowledgable, and might be able to help refer you to someone.
