Recommendation for a reminder WordPress plugin?

I have a milestone coming up. How do I remind them using WordPress?

My company has a big milestone coming up. Our site is run on WordPress (not hosted, so we can install plug-ins). Here's the workflow I envision:

- I want to run a LinkedIn ad where someone clicks a button "REMIND ME"
- The user is directed to a simple form on our site.
- The user enters their email address and clicks, "Remind me."
- 2 hours before the milestone, they get a reminder email: "Hey, don't forget about..."
- When the milestone occurs, they get an email saying, "We've launched!"

Does such a WordPress plug-in exist?

Bonus points: not required, but it would be awesome if the user could download an .ics file for their calendar when the sign up for the reminder.

What form management do you have now?

Because the workflow I would use is to create a page in WP with whatever form manager you're using (we use Gravity Forms) and collect email addresses. While you can mail from GF it's not optimal. I would instead do a super simple CSV export of the names, import to Mail Chimp, and send your HTML emails to your list from there.

Using Mail Chimp you can time the emails in advance, send yourself as many test emails as you need, use their nice but simple templating system, etc. It's free below a generous number of subscribers that I can't remember right now. It will also force you to send compliant emails with unsubscribe links and give you stats on open rates, click rates and unsubscribe rates, all of which you desperately want.

Actually now that I think of it, I'm sure there's a MC plugin for WP so you can do your form right on the page of your website that your LinkedIn visitors go to.

Yes Mailchimp will provide up to 2000 Subscribers for free, so you can try it for sure. And i checked MC Plugin For WP not sure it will help seemed outdated to me.

Response by poster: We actually have the MailChimp plugin installed. We just had to upgrade our plan last night because we just went over the 2000 subscriber limit.

I was trying to automate this as much as possible. That's why I was asking. :)

Well, the MC solution is automated to me. People put their names on the list. You set up the two emails you want to send out in advance, and time them. Mailchimp sends to the list at the assigned time. What part am I not getting?
