Don't wrap it up.

I want to find a wrap dress (not faux wrap) that ties a bit lower on the waist than most seem to.
Most wrap dresses tie at a pretty high-waisted point for me. I'd rather have more length under the bustline before the waist of the dress.
Older wrap dresses were more flexible about where to tie the waist in this way but most of the newer ones have some structure; for instance Ann Taylor's wrap, which I otherwise like and do own, has a waistband built into the tie. This makes it more put-together looking but less flexible and adjustable.
Boden's are pretty good, the fabric is incredibly comfortable and I wear one, but the belt holes are still sewn in a bit high-waisted for my taste.
Any fabric is fine, especially thinner fabrics. I prefer solid colors despite the Boden print. 3/4 length sleeves would be awesome but short or long sleeves OK too.

Eshakti allows customizing where the waist falls on their dresses, so you could take a dress like this one and specify where the waist falls. Lots of wrap options here.
