Where can I find well-written guided meditation scripts?

Hi guys! I want to become one of those super centred meditative people, and feel convinced by all the research on meditation increasing the volume of grey matter and decreasing amygdala activity etc.. I am also lazy and hyperactive (hated mindfulness meditation when I tried to do it with a timer, it made me bored and angry, didn't like headspace because it was too slow), so I am looking for guided meditation resources. I would also prefer scripts because I would like to be able to edit parts of the script if I wanted.

So I'm looking for resources for meditation scripts. I would prefer:
- sources with a more neuroscience/research-based slant, spiritual jargon distracts me as I get annoyed with it
- scripts that allow me imagine places and scenes

Thank you in advance for your help! :)

Look up the work of Jon Kabat-Zin. Particularly his body scan meditation.

Sharon Salzberg, Real Happiness. The book comes with an audio CD so you can use the written guided meditations or listen to the recording.

You sound like the target audience for the 10% Happier app (which bills itself as "meditation for fidgety skeptics"). I recently started using it and enjoy it; very non-woo. Not scripts though; short guided audio meditations (including some from Sharon Salzberg, mentioned above).
