2 - 3 beds + kitchenette

Looking for reasonably priced hotel suites (with kitchens) in Toronto.

Just got word that the refugee family my group is sponsoring is arriving in a matter of days! We'll need to put them up in a hotel for a few days but we're struggling with filtering through the noise to reasonably priced hotels (under $200 a day?) with kitchens for this family of 5, for 2 - 3 days. I'm looking for that slightly dingy but perfectly serviceable apartment/hotel. Anywhere in the GTA is good!

Try this place: http://alexandrahotel.com and http://www.super8downtowntoronto.com

Can't vouch for either though, just know they exist.

Use Trivago to search. On the 'Extra Filters' tab, scroll down to Room Facilities and select 'Kitchen/Kitchenette'. You may have to check with a couple of your choices to see if they have a roll-away cot for the third child. The places that are 'holiday apartments' likely won't since they seem to be VRBO/AirBnB type places rather than hotels-- though they might have a couch that'll do depending on how old the child is.

How do you feel about AirBnBs? I just got back from Toronto and stayed in a nice place just near the convention center which had a kitchen and laundry as well as one full bedroom and a pull out couch thing in the kitchen. Fairly inexpensive. Will drop you a message but wanted to add a note in the thread also.

It can be really frustrating to find the right number of beds. I've had great luck with three sites in particular:

- Hotels.com (part of Expedia)
- Agoda.com (part of Priceline)
- Booking.com (part of Priceline)

You can specify the number of adults to sleep, so plug in 6 adults to find at least 3 double beds, for example. I know Booking.com also lets you filter on Kitchen facilities, not sure of the others. A quick look for Toronto this weekend shows several options for under $200 per day, after taxes.

Speaking of taxes, the Agoda mobile app offers the same filters and has an option to see the tax-inclusive price, which is really nice.
