Silicon Valley Comic Con: are VIP tickets worth it?

I'm going to the Silicon Valley Comic Con in April of this year, and considering upgrading my 3-day ticket to the $250 VIP ticket. Is it worth it?
The reason I'm tempted to get a VIP pass is for the priority panel entry, so I don't have to stand in line for panels, and will have a better chance of getting good seats wherever I go. If it got me priority in autograph lines, that would be great too, as a friend who isn't going wants me to collect a bunch of autographs for her.
Any tips on enjoying the con would be appreciated too. Thanks!
