SFW, humorous quotes and memes about walls.

The neighboring lab has put up a barrier between my lab bench and theirs. My coworkers and I have started decorating this barrier with wall-related text and images. ("Build bridges not walls" went up immediately.) Give me some more ideas to keep us going and hopefully bring a smile or a knowing nod to passersby, including the large number of Muslim and Hispanic staff who help keep our building operating. Searching "wall memes" right now was kind of depressing.

(Got-damn, Mefites, you are all on fire in here today: almost every single thing I wanted to post has already been suggested. Well done! *applause*)

I can only suggest two things: a classical painting of Pyramus and Thisbe, and also the poem "Wall Marks" by Shel Silverstein:
Those scratchy marks there on the wall,
They show how short I used to be.
They rise until they get this tall,
And Mama keeps reminding me
The way my dad would take his pen
And as I stood there, stiff and straight,
He'd put a ruler on my head
And mark the spot and write the date.
She says that it's my history,
But I don't understand it at all
Just why she cries each time she sees
Those scratchy marks there on the wall.

Do you have the Photoshop skills to clone that cement tower on the cover of The Who's "Who's Next" to make it into a wall?

Response by poster: Update: this photo has now been added. Simon & Garfunkel lyrics were also added by a mysterious contributor overnight.

Maybe a picture of Tim Allen's neighbor from Home Improvement (TV show). The guy who we only saw the top of his head over the fence.

I'd also add pictures of the Great Wall of China and the Western Wall in Jerusalem. And maybe this wall to complete the trio.

I'm not seeing any "A Song of Ice And Fire" references, but I haven't read the books, so maybe i'm missing any. In any case, the ASOIAF universe, popularly known as Game of Thrones, has a wall that looms very large both in the imagination and in the reality of Westeros. Gotta be something that can be done here, especially if you can strongly imply that your peers on the other side of the partition are the wildlings, and you, the civilized.

I have some snapshots of the final months of the Berlin Wall (like August 1988) that I could share. They are all grainy and authentic, and the graffiti is awesome.
