How to use the Android text expander Texpand Pro on gMail?

I installed Texpand Pro on my Note 4. It works great on texts and Outlook email. Oddly enough, though, it only works in the subject line of a gMail, not in the email body part. Any ideas why? Thank you.

Best answer: Here's their FAQ, and that page has contact information. Send them an email?

Response by poster: Thanks, brainmouse.
I already checked that out and though the developer says to email him with questions, there's no available address.
I'm thinking it has something to do with this on the FAQ page, though I don't have a clue what it means:

"Texpand is not expanding text on a particular app?
Texpand only expands text on apps that use the standard EditText widget or direct derivations of it. Texpand does not work with office apps, terminal apps, websites and apps developed using HTML5 frameworks (non-native apps)."

Again, the weird thing is, it works in the subject line of a gMail but not in the email body...

Best answer: His email is isaias.matewos.developer@gmail.com (it's listed on the app details page). I agree it's weird - hopefully the developer can help.
