Here they come to cheer the rooster...

My kid wants to check out the Chinese New Year Parade this year in Chicago's Chinatown this Sunday. Sounds like an awesome idea to me. I'm looking to find out more info.

How early should we go?

Any recommendations for how to get there? We're coming from the NW 'burbs and would normally drive, but we're open to taking public transit if that is easier or makes more sense.

What's the good place to set up? By the Cermak gates? Somewhere else?

Anything else fun/useful to know? Our kid is just shy of eight and usually a good sport.
