Last minute planning season is upon us NYC edition

I was last minute tasked to be responsible for a friends tomorrow birthday celebration. The friend is a quirky artsy New Yorker in her early 30s. In the past she has enjoyed burlesque shows, various sex-positive events as celebration. It can also be a really cool music performance somewhere in Bushwick or Williamsburg - essentially anything marginally non-mainstream and interesting. With short notice and it being the holidays I am unable to find anything relevant or even where on the interwebs to look. Hive mind's input would be much appreciated!

Am I reading correctly that you are looking for something on Monday the 26th?
Shea Stadium is a quirky music venue and has a show. http://liveatsheastadium.com

Baby's All Right has a show http://babysallright.ticketfly.com/event/1386720-holiday-gathering-dot-da-brooklyn/

Unfortunately it doesn't seem like there's a lot happening. Nonsense has nothing listed and a lot of venues are closed (more because it's a Monday than anything else, I think)

You might want to check out some NYC event sites. Time Out NY is always a good resource.
If you can wait until tomorrow, The Skint always has great events that they post the day of.
Because it's the Monday after a holiday weekend, you could always plan a nice dinner out, and then go catch some music. The Rockwood, City Winery, Bowery ballroom are all good options.
