What's the best way to sell digital goods?

I've got an unused Minecon 2016 Cape Code redemption link that I'd like to sell online but am not sure how to go about it. Ebay has a bunch listed but I hear (but can't verify) that lots are fraudulent. How do I sell this thing in a way that protects me from having the buyer use it quick but then file a claim with Ebay that I sold him a used redemption link?

On a related note, I've got a potential (but untrusted) buyer that wants it but the same question applies. I could sell it outside of EBay but I'm looking for an online method of taking the payment in a rock solid way that the buyer can't reneg on.

Lastly, how in the world could Ebay even investigate the transaction of digital goods? I don't know how they'd have any idea how to resolve such a transition dispute.

They don't. eBay doesn't protect you if you don't deliver a physical item to the buyer. PayPal expressly carves out digital goods from seller protection.

You can print the code and snail mail it to the buyer (with tracking of course) but there's still the risk a dishonest buyer will file a claim.

Bitcoin, or sell it locally for cash.
