Good automated educational software?
Has anybody experienced any automated educational software that they really liked? By "automated" I mean software that quizzes you on a question and gives you more and more hints until you get it right.
I'm particularly interested in software that teaches linguistics; automata and formal language theory; statistics; and information theory. However, I'm also interested in people's experiences in other subject areas too.
The website which prompted this question was gradiance. I've also have come across aleks.
