We're going to the second edition of the masquerade ball we went to in January. What to wear?
This year, the event's theme is Erin Morgenstern's The Night Circus. What kind of things should I be looking for at thrift stores (etc)? My wife is planning to wear a corset dress with a sparkly blazer. I'd like to have a mask or face-paint that covers the lower half of my face, so I can keep my glasses on. That's literally all I know; I haven't read the book.

The book is amazing, you should read it! But barring that, yes, black and white, and a small splash of red somewhere.
