Give me more upbeat, dancey music!

I find that lately, maybe because 2016 is so depressing, I really love listening to happy danceable music. Foster the People is pretty much 100% awesome, especially Helena Beat. Other things like what I'm looking for: Beck -- Dreams and Coldplay -- Adventure of a Lifetime. What else should I be listening to?

Best answer: (apologies - I cannot link to videos at work)

'Dreams' is heavily indebted to MGMT's Electric Feel , so check that out.

Phoenix - 1901

Justin Timberlake in general ; in particular, his new song 'Can't Stop the Feeling' , if it hasn't been overplayed in wherever you listen to music

Missy Elliott fills this niche for me

Peanut Butter Jelly - Galantis (from last year, but fine)
Similarly - all of Girl Talk’s most excellent mash-up albums are available for free. To my mind, the best is Feed The Animals, and it’s a fine place to start. (Note that the songs will be a little dated because they are built from the top 40 of that moment & earlier.)

Lindsey Stirling does fun electro-violin songs, some with vocals, many without, and several covers

I'm just gonna drop me and my friend's Spotify collab playlists, we've been partying through this bleak 2016! Plenty of stuff you'll like here.

Dancing Through Life '16
No Shirt, No Shoes All Service Blazing Sun Summer 2016
Sharing My Love F2016 (This is our newest one, we will be adding to this throughout fall)

funky instrumentals - This is the newest one I'm curating with another friend, the criteria is funky, upbeat instrumental music, which is a playlist that I find very hard to find.

I mean, the best dance song of all time is “Deceptacon” by Le Tigre, so you can certainly add that.
