Veins moving when I work out. Help.

When I work out, sometimes my veins move as I do reps. It feels uncomfortable. It doesnt always happen though... Is it because Ive been doing reps incorrectly, or will this lead to damage to the veins if I continue?

For example Ive got a big vein that starts to become visible at my elbow joint and travels the length of my forearm. When I do pullups this vein gets twanged like a guitar string or something, somehow.

You sure that's a vein? I have a tendon or something at my elbow that does what you're describing. With enough weight on it, it thwaps pretty hard. It's not exactly painful, but it's uncomfortable enough that it keeps me from doing pushups and certain other actions for the full range of motion.

veins can become "unbound" when the stuff holding them down is broken down and worn out...

Are you stretching enough? Otherwise, I not sure it's a bad thing.

Response by poster: Hmmm, yeah it may actually be a tendon.

okay. that would be bad. or rather, it could be bad.

I've got a tendon in my shoulder that pops alot when I go heavy and don't stretch...

I don't think pull up form can be wrong... it's a natural movement if you are actually doing a pull up...

it sounds like a stretching problem...

Response by poster: Well, I ignored it and ended up with a big bruise the next day, but whatever happened the problem went away after the bruise healed...
