What's the situation at Analog BKNY?

Analog BKNY is a relatively new club in Gowanus. Some DJs I like will be there soon, but I'm having a hard time figuring out if it's the kind of club that a skinny computer nerd like me can just go to or if there's going to be, like, hostile bouncers and weird status judgments. Any Brooklyn MeFites who've been there and can comment on the general vibe?

It's Gowanus, not Meatpacking. I think you'd be totally fine. Why not just go and see? And if you aren't into, then leave.

I'm seeing Andy Stott/DemDike Stare/Vatican Shadow there tomorrow night. I can report back, but given the venue is opening with those musicians and it's in Gowanus, I don't think you have anything to worry about. I'm picturing an Issue Project Room-like crowd, actually.

Haven't been there but I assume it would be fine. My tip would be go, and if it sucks, Lowlands is a very chill bar literally 1 block away on 3rd ave and 14th so that could be your backup plan.

Going to be totally fine. Go! Wish I could for Demdike tomorrow...

Haven't been there, but Gowanus in general is one of the most chill places (something about smelly canal weeds out certain types) and I can't imagine people being that judgey. Break it in!
