Does anyone know where I can buy "Voice of Chunk" by the Lounge LIzards?

Listed in several places as if it is availabe but turns out to be unavailable. I even checked on John Lurie's site. Any insider Lizard info out there?

Weird. We were just talking about LL on MeCha.

VoC is a great record!

I have no idea about the availability of this record, but GEMM is notorious for allowing sellers to list any and all titles without a prayer of actual availability. Don't assume that, just because you found something listed on GEMM, your search is over. GEMM sucks.

Best answer: I've got this on CD–one of my faves. I'm in Berkeley CA, and I'm headed up to spend my gift certificate at Amoeba, which is one of the better places to find this kind of thing. I'll see if they have it, and if so, I'll send it to you, if you like. Email me off line (address in profile).

This is assuming you're not my neighbor and you just came from there.

Response by poster: Thanks al_fresco. I just sent you an email. From what I understand the CD is out of print but can be had at Amoeba, when it is available, for about $10.

I like GEMM, and I've had very good luck with it. For example, I was able to pick up the first Mutantes album for the price of a normal CD from a Brazilian seller, rather than pay some collector in the states sixty bucks for the OP Omplatten edition. Also had good luck finding some Hafler Trio stuff that would have cost double or more through Amazon marketplace, Ebay, etc. YM of course, MV.
