Bar with a view in Brooklyn

Looking for a bar in Brooklyn with a view of Manhattan for a party of eight that will allow reservations for pre-dinner drinks. Any ideas? Must allow reservations - don't want to turn up and wing it. Indoor also preferred, but outdoor fine too (if it means a view is possible).

River Cafe might seem intimidating, but the have or had a wacky patio, off to the left before you hit the main dining room, where people would come for apps and drinks. I doubt they take ressys for it per se, but if you give them a call and explain what you want they might be willing to hook you up. The view is worth the hassle.

The Ides rooftop bar at the Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg. Apparently they take "a limited number of table reservations for parties of 8 to 20". It's kind of touristy even for the Bedford stop (I guess it's in Rough Guide or Lonely Planet), and unusually for NYC they card everyone at the door, but the view of midtown is great.

Came to suggest the Ides rooftop as well (with the same caveats). The view is really nice despite the tourist aspect.
