Any advice for Arrowmont (craft school) in August?

My one-week art workshop at Arrowmont is approaching, yay! After reading all the content Google can find me to read, I thought I'd ask if any of you have ever been there, and if so, do you have any suggestions?

Things I might want to bring with me? I'm flying in and taking the school's recommended shuttle from Knoxville airport. Staying in an air conditioned room. The only concern I have right now is that it seems the doors to the sleeping quarters don't lock unless you're in the room, so you can't leave anything valuable when you leave the room. So I guess folks carry their purses around with them all day then?

Thanks!

I was there a few years ago and enjoyed it. I didn't stay in a private room; I was in the dorms in the barn. I spent all day in the studio so I did carry a small bag with my wallet, phone, sketchbook, etc. I can't think of anything specifically I took or needed... Have fun! It's a beautiful space with nice studios and friendly people.

Not sure about security there, but here are some portable (soft) safes. The fabric and straps are reinforced with steel cables/mesh, if I'm not mistaken.
