SF vegan brunch options

Recommendations for vegan breakfast/brunch choices in San Francisco? We're staying near Market/Mason and are happy to walk or take transit but don't have a car.

Big plusses include opening at 9 or earlier (as opposed to say 10 or 11), close to public transit, and close to Golden Gate Park since we plan to head there later in the day.

Vegan version of the nebulous potato thing at St. Francis Fountain. It's a vegan friendly diner an easy walk from the 24th St. BART stop in the Mission.

Ananda Fuara on Market between 8th & 9th. Everything is vegetarian; they have many vegan options too.

Herbivore, which may be the oldest in SF. But the Berkeley location is better (just a BART ride away!)

St. Francis has multiple vegan options, but they aren't a vegan-only restaurant, if that's important. Herbivore is good, but don't try to get to Berkeley and back. Gracias Madre in the Mission is another option. Alas, Citizen Fox just closed.

Oh - Plant Cafe on the Embarcadero.

Opens later, but: Gracias Madre is excellent.

St.Francis is our regular brunch place and you get a bonus tour of Mission murals and the latest in SF hipster fashions while you wait (no reservations but the sign up list moves pretty quickly). Also check out Dynamo Donut across the street -- their spiced chocolate donuts are vegan.
