A dachshund by any other name... another round of Name That Dog!

We have a super chill year-old doxie named Poppy. In a couple weeks, Poppy's NEW BABY SISTER is moving in!

Baby Sister doesn't have a name yet, so I am turning to you!

Our new puppy is an e-red piebald doxie. She won't be a dark red and has a white chest with white spots on her nose and the top of her head. Her feet show some white, but will likely darken. She is a miniature, but we aren't sure how petite she will be. Her sister is 11 pounds of fun.

Names we are tossing around: Lola the Lovebug, Ruby, Stella, Olive, Lulu.

Hope us, mefites!. Something with a little panache and possibly glitter would be fun to consider, as would a multi-name name.

I love Ruby. Also see a little Delia.

Seed! She's like a little nugget that'll grow to be an adorable pup. I'm also a sucker for corny things like Poppy and Seed. But that might be a weird name to shout out loud. She sorta is the color of a Cashew. I think I just have a thing for nutty names.

I came into suggest Olivia.
But when I saw her photo, Sadie came to mind.
And then Stella

If you want another flower name, Daisy? Or Suzy.

My Frenchie is Ruby, so +1, but Mary came to mind when I saw her sweet little face. I love overly "human" names for dogs, so take this with a grain of salt.

Look at those puppy eyes! She's a Danny Glover.

Your pups are adorable. My little dachshund mix is Luna or Lunatic, depending on the day. LOL

Maybe a Maisie or a Tallulah?

She's a Lucy, for sure. Stella would work as well.

Caramel, Cara for short, dulce de lechce perhaps.

+1 to Sadie or Ruby!

I dunno I see Mabel, but I like Caramel. (Not Carmel. Caramel. It derives from Anton Careme.)

If you want to go with a flower theme, Daisy or Buttercup would work.

for whatever reason, something with an "ee-kah" sound profile is coming to me, but I can't think of a name that uses it - "Mika"? "Nika"? "Martika"?

I may also just be distracted by the fact that I want your dogs

Miss Poppy's sister should be called Miss Cissy.

(FWIW: I thought 100% that my dog would be a Lola. But the name didn't stick & she evolved into an Annie. I stand by Daisy for your sweet girl.)

I have been rendered speechless, ergo nameless, by the sheer cute-itude of both pups.

Sandy. After the color and the cookie. And the color of the cookie.

Although Poppy and Roxie is pretty good, too.

I love both Ruby and Sadie, but my grandmother was also a tiny gorgeous being and her name was Stella. I vote Stella.
